The Aloa 27 (single cabin)

The Aloa 27 (single cabin) was originally a French yacht that has been redesigned for sailing in the Mediterranean by the Dutch designer Frans Maas. It is easy to handle and proves to be a good sailing vessel.

Given its size, it has spacious accommodation for a maximum of 5 people. Also the cockpit has a very practical design: you can sit and lie comfortably, not something you can say of every yacht of this size.

Accommodation

The accommodation is simple but adequate. In the fore cabin there is a double bed situated behind a sliding door. On the starboard side there is the toilet and a small sink, while on the opposite port side is a wardrobe.

The saloon has two benches. The one on the starboard side can be converted into a double bed with a fold-away table in the middle. There is also an extra berth (under the cockpit) where you might stow luggage or even use as a bed for a fifth person. The galley has a two-ring gas stove and an ice box. (Ice is available in all the harbour places and can be delivered to the boat)

Tip: do not bring hard suitcases but soft luggage bags that can be stowed away easily.

Sailing Holiday with the Aloa 27

The Aloa is a supple sailing, seaworthy cabin yacht of 8.30 m in length and 2.80 m in beam. She weighs only 3.0000 kg and is therefore very easy to manoeuvre. The furling genoa is operated with a single line and the mainsail with two mainsheets on top of the deckhouse. This system is very practical because it keeps the cockpit free and thus enables you to trim the sails whenever you think necessary.

The Aloa has a total sailing area of 37 m2 (main and genoa) and is equipped with a two cylinder 18 HP Yanmar diesel engine which will bring you anywhere in the absence of wind.

In short – for her size, she is an easy to handle, spacious and comfortable blue water sailing yacht!
